During the last 35 years, the number of Caesarean sections has increased significantly while that of vaginal operative deliveries has steadily decreased. Yet, there are still situations in which a forceps or vacuum-assisted delivery is necessary. As the frequency of such deliveries decreases, however, so does the experience of the medical staff. That is why an easy-to-use system has become more and more important.
